A cheerful rainy day
The birds whispered in my ears,
"Monsoon season is coming this year."
I got excited and climbed the stairs,
Went to the terrace and sat on the chair.
Waiting, waiting and waiting for the rain,
Then felt the touch of drops again and again.
Heard the thunder claps behind the clouds,
Soothing raindrops began to fall around.
I enjoyed the rain with some pakodas and tea,
Birds went to their homes in the tree.
When the rain was over,
The weather became even colder.
After the flowers had their shower and drink,
Their colours were renewed and they got beautifully big.
