Daffodils
Beautiful, glossy and feel shy,
When they fall they die
Stretched in a never-ending line like stars,
And are not to be seen on Mars
I saw more than a lakh at a glance,
Nodding their heads in a glorious dance
They have no stress,
And do not create a mess

Bright, soft, shiny, and light,
No one can remove the site
Golden blooms compete with sparkling waves,
They are never found in caves
They bow gently in the breeze,
They eat, but not cheese
Yesterday waved ‘Bye!’ to me, the Daffodils,
That are far below the hills.
