I was pondering over the fact February, Oh! The colourful month
My mind is confused, no, Dedicated to Didi, Lata Mangeshkar.
6th, we were glued to the small screen . Evening hues appeared
The Pyre was laid, huge flames, blinding the eyes, tears rolled,
Her own songs, filled the air, the simple yet a charismatic face
Gave us reasons to smile, weep, celebrate, mentor and guide too...
Left on the eternal journey, “Legends never die”!
Paying homage and reverence! I too was asked by my piano tutor
To sing, listen and the notes should help me play better.

My memory goes back to 2007, the visit to the Moghul Garden
The residence of the President, open to public from 14th February
for a month. The variety of flowers, creepers, bushes, lawns, trees,
ponds, the ducks and swans, birds, swarm of humans, no mobiles
Selfies or group pics! Patrolling by security, guides, no messing or
stopping. The chain of discipline none dare to break. Sun was mild
fragrance filled the air, no children, only male and females, middle
and senior citizens. Each and every face smiled, enjoyed. No running
Crying, all thanking the Almighty for the marvellous blooms, February.

The Valentine celebrations have filled the air. Gifts, shopping, greetings
tours and packages. Oh...
The third variant of the Pandemic! Social distancing,
mask. No partying, only under compulsion. Yes, the educational institutions
Even offices now off line!
Life has to return to normal.
March is waiting in the queue of months. February, another fortnight,
What more, it is not to be imagined. Act in the living present,
Hearts within and God overhead!
