Gratitude
A very little girl who saw a fairly big you
On her door steps she found you
Didn't know nothing
But with all her might tried to protect you
It's about a day that changed it all.
Her little hands offered you a puri
For an everlasting friendship to begin
It isn't a story filled with soft rose petals,
There were thorns and still are
Your suffering led her to life
How you would run after her, protect her
And stay by her side
You made her feel special and loved beyond limits
But for her it's you who's special.

You found her
And never left her since
She grew young but you grew old
Now she runs after you
Just to sit by your side
Just a wag of your tail is an assurance to her heart
She would stop the time to stop you from aging any further
But only if she could,
You've given more than you got.
She's blessed for she got you,
Her greatest gratitude,
It's you, Jontty!
