Majestic Monsoon

Tip...tip...tip... Drip... drip...drip... and it came down pouring! A deafening roar bringing the silence all around to a standstill, just to let us hear it fall! It even stopped that last vehicle passing by, just to grab our attention. Only that soothing sound of the water droplets falling on the ground could be heard. The droplets made perfect ripples as though enhancing the beauty of that grey carpet.

The grass seemed to be excited and tried holding as much water as it could. It seemed to be instructing the clay below it to absorb the whole lot of water. The moist soil with the petrichor is the darling of all the entities as it recaptured the whole sentience, all at once. The gloomy flowers came to life after meeting those tiny droplets and danced with unending joy. The trees appeared to be filled with contentment, showing off their dampened green hair and calling those little creatures to take shelter in their branches.

The little saplings welcomed the rain, bowing tiny little green heads. The sweet voice of birds that couldn't be seen in their hiding places was only to be heard. They hid inside the green hair of those trees; and the peacocks danced with their open tail feathers, a source of unending joy for all. Romantic songs from the nearby houses could also be heard.

We can relate the whole rainy season to the Romantic Era of the 18th century and can admire the beauty of Nature with love. Soon the drops were ready to say goodbye, they left a rainbow ‘note’ in sky. The beauty of the surroundings seemed to be enhanced with those tiny droplets of the majestic monsoon. They were a hope for the next shower to bring back all the joy once again...
