Mohini or Suman?

RASHI is the celestial star, under which an individual is born according to Zodiac sign.

It could be Gemini, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio etc. Whenever a religious ceremony or any other event the person who is performing the event will ask the RASHI. There are twelve in number according to the 12 months of the year.

More than one, even thousands are born under one RASHI but the place and time when one is born varies from one individual to the other. The traits in character, habits like and dislike vary. We are told according to astrology only eight persons, The Almighty, God has created. I am a Gemini. The Pandit or the Priest decides one alphabet for your name. Now it is for you to decide your name.

Some parents name their child/ children after the RASHI alphabet. Some don’t believe in this. It all depends from one individual to the other. I will give you my own example.

According to RASHI the alphabet was M so my grandfather named be Mohini. Parents had no say some seventy years back. Later when at age three years I first went to school my grandfather named me Suman. Suman means a flower.

Mohini avatar is the female avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu. She is known as the divine enchantress, renowned for her beauty and grace. She appears in the Mahabharata and Puranas. She enchants the demons and humans. She is none other but Krishna, the Hindu God clad in female dress as depicted in the Mahabharata. ‘Moh Lena’ is her main purpose - to attract. In this she offers the nectar extracted during Samundra Manthan to the humans. The demons lose the battle; they do not get a drop of nectar.

I do not know my RASHI ‘M’ signifying Mohini and Suman both attracts me to the opponent be it a male or female. Yes, the only quality which I tell every individual is to always wear a smile. Smile is always welcomed. A frown repels each one of us.

Any way the RASHI does matter. It all depends on an individual. It is an open-ended road. Bye-bye!

RASHI & RASHI.
