RAIN, RAIN!!!
Oh, the monsoon has arrived. The long wait is over. Umbrellas, Raincoat, Paper boats. Well! Overcast sky, lightning, evenings, no stars all this are naturally associated with rains. Morning the Sun as if struggling to peep, who will win, a tug a war all three, wind, cloud and sun.
Meadows wear a velvety green carpet. The glistening leaves of Neem, Pipal, Gulmohar, Tamarind, bushes, creepers, what a sight! Life, life, life. Cattle, humans, the rain, provides an annual stock. We should fold our hands and thank The Almighty. Children enjoy having a day off due to pouring rain.
Warning by the Meteorological Department for sailors, fisherman, hikers. How many of us are really prepared? Pigeons, parrots, peacocks all enjoy the rains. Pakoras, piping hot tea/ coffee, lemonade . Dancing in the rain, a deliberate splash! Put your feet together take a push as if on a trampoline and with full force splash the water. Oh! What fun!
Sit with an umbrella on the terrace, climb a tree, pick up your favourite book, obviously not a text book. Novel, story book, playing cards enjoy... enjoy the rain. Getting wet is fun knowing well, the end result will be cold, cough and fever, pills, blanket and decoction. Doctors are over occupied. The teachers, professors, sit idle. The attendance is so thin. Enjoy the rain!
Make a memorable rainy day, month, season. Festivals, national/ religious, there is so much happening and happiness. Rains in July, August, December, January, one has to decide, which one you enjoy most. It is an individual choice. Well!! The Lord is busy painting hues in the sky, plains, and mountains.
