Teachers are Role models

Teachers are the trees and they nurture the buds to bloom. Deep rooted, standing erect, they are the nation builders. Kindergarten is the place after leaving their homes, the teacher knows where and how the child will head in life. At home the parents pamper, fulfil the demand, try their very best to make their child a good individual.

Each one of us have a short list or may be a long list of teachers who made a difference in our lives. Paying compliments or carrying flowers or gifts is not what they want. They on the campus or outside, for that matter anywhere are ready with their unbiased support, suggestion and advice. They do not expect anything. They feel elated, satisfied that they have contributed their share to the society, town, and nation.

I am a teacher and have experienced the joy and pleasure when my students soar high. The responsibility that a teacher shoulders is heavier than anything in this universe! The teachers by heart and not having a commercial or professional approach alone , all work for a livelihood there is no doubt but the teacher should be devoted, dedicated and create abilities and skills irrespective of opportunities.

I am not a preacher. I have experienced teachers in the different stages of my education, schooling, graduation, masters and even now after superannuation. We should have a will to learn , tolerance and patience. During the pandemic years all of us have experienced, we have faced limitations during confinement or online classes. We have waded through deep waters and are now out to enjoy life.

“An old fossil of 88 talking to me on the mobile, “You have added honey to my ears.”
“ Beta, speak louder, slow, I am ageing.” None of us are robots. We will have to pass through the Seven Stages, play our parts or roles on this Stage of Life.
Well !!! The teacher is always young at heart. He has lived always among the youth or the adolescent, cared and tried to keep himself or herself as an ideal or a role model.
A teacher never dies. He is remembered and honoured for times immemorial.
Quoted and referred but the teacher has to earn his reputation. I salute the great personalities that have made a difference in my life. I am indebted to the founders - our teachers, our parents, our institution and each individual whom I have met.
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY - 5TH SEPTEMBER.
