Teacher’s Day - Everyday
Teacher’s are the nation builders. Doctors, engineers, architects, bureaucrats, politicians homemakers, professors; do they come down on this earth from the heavens via parachute??? No!!! They are made by institutions: schools/ colleges/ universities. How elated, honoured one feels on Teacher’s Day i.e. 5th September, every year. The excitement students have. Toddlers in play school or the scholars in universities.
Well!! I have my experience, which I will narrate. Post superannuation, in the society, One is a role model. Your personality speaks. Albums or magazines, no-no the memories of the students, just need to roll back. And, what is this; even after ages, buried or resting in The Almighty’s lap. Comparison, overseas or borders, praise or abuse - a teacher lives on and on till eternity.
Alumni meeting, conference, workshop, wedding, funeral ceremony, a teacher is a hot live topic. Last week, I visited my institutions, Sophia School, St. Mary’s Convent, Government College, Ajmer for my book launch, ‘Srishti’. With open arms and hugs they welcomed me. Just today in the evening, I wore a pair of black shoes, like a school kid, my five-year old neighbour. She giggled, “Dadi, oh!! Aap mere jesse... ho!!

A teacher is a chain, parents, grandparents, township, nation. Sports is like a link. Connect and communication, no less than.... an agent or detective. Collars up, salute, candies, chocolates, box of gifts, bouquets. No, a teacher takes pride in when an individual approaches him/ her and says, “Do you remember me, I was your student.” The teacher feels elated. The best reward/ award is remembering your teacher.
Why Teacher’s Day 5th September. Everyday is Teacher’s day. Celebrations should go on and on. Happy Teacher’s Day. Hurray!! We all look up to the Teacher who has held his / her student in high esteem too. It needs two to clap. Images and Pics should change as per circumstances. Enjoy and Enjoy not only 2023 but years ahead. Miles to go and leave your footprints on the sand of time.
HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY!
