The Cozy Rains
With tiny water droplets tumbling over the leaves of green plants, the rainy season had marked its entry for this year.
The petrichor (the earthy scent produced when the rain falls on dry soil), is the perfect sign of the beginning of the rainy season! This season has always been very close to my heart. I love to get drenched in the rain with no worry of getting unwell... though this time the situation is different. After getting dried up I would have ginger tea, my favourite beverage. The rainy season also brings many festivals with it like - Raksha Bandhan, Independence day, Janmashthami, etc.
How can I forget my memories of rainy days at School? Those were the days, when the School campus would get filled with rain water. My ‘automates’ and me, we would pray for a ‘rainy day’ holiday (of course because of heavy rain) all the way to school. I miss all those moments... from getting wet intentionally in school with friends to requesting teachers for not teaching, instead to tell some funny incidents. All these memories are very special..!! The beauty of rains can’t be explained in a few words. For TV serials or Hindi movies rain is the most romantic thing, for a student rain is the most distracting thing (at least for me) and for readers or writers rainy season is most lovely and cozy of all.
Oops! This reminds me that I have to complete my physics notes, I shall take your leave now.
