The Cursed Chronicles of Curiosity

Never let your curiosity get the better of you, particularly when it leads you to explore an abandoned library. As I ventured deeper into the library, the books were covered in spider webs, the walls seemed on the verge of crumbling, and the floor creaked with every step.

Strangely, there existed no divisions between the volumes. It was as if each book concealed an identical tale, masked by different covers. I, then noticed that they bore names of different individuals.

A book with black hardcover captured my attention. I leafed through it, eventually reaching the last page, only to confront an unsettling revelation. It read, “I find myself in a library, perusing through the last chapter of my life.”

A chilling realization gripped me; I was the protagonist. I threw the book aside and attempted to flee, yet, to my horror, I reappeared in the same spot. I found the book dragging me into its pages, leaving my pleas unheard in the desolate library’s abyss.

Years later:
I could hear her, see her. She is standing right before me going through pages of a green hardcover. I can see her unsettling expression as she throws the book, running for her life. And now, she is right beside me, within a green hardcover.
